Le Champion, Chris Jericho, has revealed that he nearly died during a Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match against Triple H and Shawn Michaels in 2009.
The match in question saw Chris Jericho and Big Show defend their WWE Unified Tag Team Championships against the reformed D-Generation X generals at the December pay-per-view with the finish being the moment in question which the AEW Superstar claims nearly ended his life.
Stood on the shoulders of Big Show, the original plan was for Shawn Michaels to interrupt a dive with Sweet Chin Music to the giant while Jericho crashed through a table on the arena floor.
However, things went awry when the star tumbled over the top rope and landed horribly with his face smashing into the wood.
Jericho revealed the extent of the danger he was in when replying to a fan on Twitter who posted a video of the botch. Emphatically he stated:
“I almost died!”

The bout eventually saw D-Generation X defeat the team named Jeri-Show to capture the WWE Unified Tag Team Championships in the main event of the show.
Currently in AEW, Chris Jericho finds himself at the centre of dissention within his Inner Circle as various members battle against his authority and decision making.
