Chris Jericho Renames 2Point0 On AEW Dynamite

Chris Jericho has renamed 2Point0, branding their previous names a “stupid idea from bad creative.”

The Jericho Appreciation Society is now open for business. On the March 16th episode of Dynamite, Chris Jericho led AEW’s newest faction to the ring, laying down their intentions.

Jericho said that he wasn’t a professional wrestler, but a sports entertainer. A line in reference to WWE calling their stars sports entertainers instead of wrestlers. At this, Jericho ran down his new crew.

The Influencer told a story of how he helped Daniel Garcia (Who also said he was a sports entertainer) with money as he recovered from a double leg break after a car crash. This is why Garcia appreciates him. Then Jericho moved on to 2Point0, who he said he became aware of after a phone call from his former friend Kevin, a reference to Kevin Owens who has been a big supporter of the pair.

Jericho explained that Matt Lee will be known as “Daddy Magic” Matt Minard and Jeff Parker will be known as “Cool Hand Ang” Angelo Parker. Finally, the former AEW World Champion hailed Jake Hager as his “ride or die” and the “right hand of the king.”

The new faction was born the previous week when Jericho turned on Santana and Ortiz, attacking the pair and Eddie Kingston along with the help of 2Point0 and Hager.

The show was headlined by the AEW Women’s World Championship Cage Match between Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa. Backed by a raucous home crowd, Thunder Rosa finally got the better of her long-time rival to become Women’s World Champion.

The match was another brutal affair, blood was spilled, thumb-tacks lay across the ring and chairs were used with reckless abandon. But above it all, Rosa delivered a Fire Thunder Driver into the tacks to score a memorable win.
