Chris Jericho would consider a return to WWE if the opportunity arose.
The Learning Tree has become one of AEW’s most established names since his surprise jump to the company back in 2019. Now, 6 years on, some fans are eager to see Jericho return to the company fold – especially with the big changes made following Vince McMahon‘s exit.
During his stage show at Horror, Rock ‘N Wrestle Fest last month, Jericho admitted he’s not against the idea. Ultimately, it’d come down to his circumstances when the opportunity arose as he’s just as open to not returning to his former wrestling home.
I would have considered a return to WWE before things changed. Once again, there are two teams you can play on, which is amazing, and it’s one of the reasons why I wanted to take a chance and go to AEW in the first place, it was a real gamble…
Of course I would consider going back there (WWE). I would also consider not going back there too, it just depends on what the situation is and what’s going on with me at the time.
Chris Jericho Caused AEW Star To Switch Up Their Style
Chris Jericho has undoubtedly influenced countless wrestling stars across his 3-decade career. But AEW’s Will Ospreay was particularly inspired by the veteran before he even joined Tony Khan’s promotion.
During a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Ospreay recalled Jericho advising him back in 2018 to slow down and stop taking so many high-risk bumps after a particularly bad landing on his neck. The advice changed Ospreay’s perspective on wrestling, causing him to develop his current in-ring style.
