Chris Jericho has looked back on the time he met Tom Brady after he let his feelings be known about the NFL legend on WWE Raw.
In September 2016 “The List of Jericho” debuted on TV and saw the former World Champion document all those who angered him on a personalised clipboard. Beginning with Mick Foley, the list quickly expanded to wrestlers, production crew, fans and celebrities who all felt the wrath of Jericho’s verbal tirades.
The night after the 2017 Super Bowl, which saw Brady lead the New England Patriots to yet another victory, football fans were referring to the quarterback as the GOAT. Unhappy that Brady was stealing his thunder, Jericho took action and added his name to The List.
Appearing on Power 106, Jericho revealed that a few years later he actually met Brady and revealed how the NFL star reacted:
“We were close to where the Patriots play, and that’s when everyone was calling Tom Brady ‘The GOAT.’ I was calling myself ‘The GOAT’ at the time. I put Tom Brady on the list. I ran into Tom a few years later at a private airport. It was early in the morning, I think I had been drinking all night. When I met him, he’s like, ‘Ay, I made the list!’ I was like, ‘Ahh, Tom Brady, you made the list! Yes. You’re actually The GOAT, it’s fine.’ People loved it. They all wanted to be on the list,”
