This coming Monday night sees WWE Raw celebrate its 30th Anniversary. The first episode aired live from New York’s Manhattan Center on January 11th 1993 and the anticipation for this huge show is building following the announcement of a number of legends who will be in attendance at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on Monday night.
During WWE Smackdown this past Friday night, the WWE aired a spectacular video package, looking back on many of the memorable moments and Superstars over the past three decades. The video showcased legendary names such as ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, The Undertaker, John Cena and The Rock, whilst also featuring a number of Superstars no longer with the company.
Chris Jericho amongst of host of former stars highlighted in stunning promo package
One such former Superstar appearing in the package was none other than former WWE Champion Chris Jericho.
The Winnipeg born star departed the WWE following 2018’s ‘The Greatest Royal Rumble’ Premium Live Event, returning to action in NJPW before eventually debuting for AEW in January 2019.
It isn’t the first time that Jericho has featured on WWE programming since signing for AEW having made a shocking appearance as a guest on ‘The Stone Cold Podcast’ on WWE Network in April 2021.
Friday night’s package saw a clip from Jericho’s famous WWE debut back on August 9, 1999, where he burst onto the WWE scene after weeks of build using the ‘Countdown To The Millennium’ clock. Jericho interrupted The Rock and engaged in a dramatic verbal duel for the ages.
So many iconic moments!

Pro wrestling transcends any given company. Pro wrestling is about memories….and this video contains some LEGENDARY ones!
Jericho is not expected to attend WWE Raw on Monday night, but a number of other legends are already confirmed including Hulk Hogan, ‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair and The Undertaker.
