Chris Jericho has revealed who is on his personal wrestling Mount Rushmore, and explained why he could never pick himself for the accolade.

In recent months the idea of a ‘wrestling Mount Rushmore’ has taken on a life of its own. Stars such as The Undertaker, Eddie Kingston and Adam Page are among those who have revealed their lists, while unsurprisingly, consensus on the make up of said lists proves hard to find.

Another big name who has got in on the action is Chris Jericho. Speaking on the Superstar Crossover with Josh Martinez, Jericho revealed that his list is made of up his favourites from when he was child.

“I love Shawn Michaels, Owen Hart, Ricky Steamboat, Hulk Hogan,”

“Those were my four favourites when I was growing up so those will be my Mount Rushmore to this day.”

Over the course of his more-than three-decade long career Jericho has claimed championship gold all over the world, and despite his veteran status remains one of the biggest stars in AEW. This level of success means that Jericho may well be added to the Mount Rushmore’s of modern fans.

Despite this, the leader of the Jericho Appreciation Society, said that it’s impossible to name himself on such a list.

“You don’t pick your own face to be on Mount Rushmore,” Jericho said. “If that was the case then all of us would have four, four, four of us… The Mount Rushmore’s and the GOATs and all those sorts of things are such interesting topics of conversation but if you are a GOAT or you are worthy of being on someone’s Mount Rushmore, you probably don’t have to really say it.”

Following the news that CM Punk had been stripped of the AEW World Championship, Tony Khan announced that a ‘Tournament of Champions’ would take place to determine a new champion. After receiving a bye in the first round, Jericho is set to meet Bryan Danielson in the semi-finals.

The former AEW World Champion recently defeated Danielson at All Out.
