AEW star Chris Jericho referenced his former friend Kevin Owens on AEW Dynamite St Patrick’s Day Slam as he introduced his new faction to the world.

After the Inner Circle imploded on the March 9th edition of AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho was reborn with the Jericho Appreciation Society.

The group consisting on himself, Jake Hager, Daniel Garcia and 2Point0 came together as they attacked Santana and Ortiz before putting Eddie Kingston through a table.

Fast forward to St Patrick’s Day Slam and Jericho thought it was time for the world to be formally introduced to his new group. During the promo, the first-ever AEW World Champion told the crowd that he was a sports entertainer, not a a professional wrestler.

The Influencer told a story of how he helped Daniel Garcia (Who also said he was a sports entertainer) with money as he recovered from a double leg break after a car crash. This is why Garcia appreciates him. Jericho then moved on to 2Point0. He said that he had only become aware of the pair when they left WWE after a phone call from his “former friend Kevin.” A refence to Kevin Owens, who was a big supporter of the team.

This is what led Jericho to invite them into his house and onto his podcast. Jericho revealed that Matt Lee will now be known as “Daddy Magic” Matt Minard and Jeff Parker will be known as “Cool Hand Ang” Angelo Parker. He branded their previous names, a “a stupid idea from bad creative.”

Finally, the former AEW World Champion hailed Jake Hager as his “ride or die” and the “right hand of the king.”

Dynamite was headlined by the AEW Women’s World Championship Cage Match between Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa. Backed by a raucous home crowd, Thunder Rosa finally got the better of her long-time rival to become Women’s World Champion.

The match was another brutal affair, blood was spilled, thumb-tacks lay across the ring and chairs were used with reckless abandon. But above it all, Rosa delivered a Fire Thunder Driver into the tacks to score a memorable win.
