Chris Jericho Issued Challenge For AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door

Chris Jericho and his Learning Tree have been challenged for a Trios Match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.

On the June 22nd edition of Collision, Chris Jericho and Big Bill took on Private Party. Not happy with just picking up the win, though, the pair were joined by Bryan Keith in assaulting Isiah Kassidy and Mark Quen.

However, Samoa Joe‘s music hit and the Samoan Submission Machine ran to the ring with HOOK and Katsuyori Shibata to make the save. After seeing off the trio, Joe grabbed a microphone and told Jericho in no uncertain terms that he thinks everything that’s come from the Learning Tree “absolutely sucks.”

He went on to challenge “what’s left” of Jericho’s group at Forbidden Door. While the match is not yet official, it’ll likely be added to the card in the coming week.

“I’ve always been a man that says the best ideas survive the crucible of combat, and that’s what I suggest. I say Shibata, HOOK, Samoa Joe vs Chris Jericho and what’s left of his Learning Tree come Forbidden Door.”

On the go-home episode of AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho received an unlikely challenge.
