— Chris Hero (Is Back) (@ChrisHero) January 26, 2021
Chris Hero has wrestled for over 20 years, and is widely regarded as one of the true innovators of independent wrestling. While Hero made his name on the indies, he would also appear on IMPACT Wrestling before becoming a staple of Ring Of Honor at a time when the company had many of the greatest wrestlers on the planet under their umbrella. Hero made the switch to WWE in 2011, becoming Kassius Ohno, and spent nine years with the company.
Kassius Ohno was moved to the alumni section of WWE.com in April 2020 amidst a plethora of personnel cuts in response to the pandemic. While no official announcement was made, Chris Hero took to Twitter to post a photo of his boots and announce the return of Chris Hero – although the veteran has not wrestled since.
