Chris Hemsworth Gives Update On Hulk Hogan Movie

Hulk Hogan

Hollywood star Chris Hemsworth has given the latest update on the announced biopic focussing on the life of controversial wrestling icon, Hulk Hogan.

A biopic on the life and career of Hulk Hogan has been in the works for several years with Hogan’s friend and former boss Eric Bischoff involved in the early stages of putting a production together. Chris Hemsworth is attached to play Hogan with The Hangover and Joker director Todd Phillips set to direct.

There has been little information on when production is due to begin on the movie with several Hollywood blockbusters delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, including Thor: Love And Thunder – starring Hemsworth – which was originally meant to be released in November 2021 but will now hit cinemas in July this year.

Chris Hemsworth previously told the Daily Distraction on ComicBook that the film was “a while away”:

Oh, that film’s a while away. It’s sort of in the development stage, you know? If it comes to fruition, great, Todd Phillips is brilliant. I haven’t ripped any shirts off yet, but you’ll be the first to hear about it when I do.”

In another update with Chris Van Vliet, Chris Hemsworth reiterated that it might be some time before we see him in Hulk Hogan’s trademark red and yellow:

“Uhhhh, maybe? Todd Phillips is busy doing, I think, Joker 2 I believe, and I’ve been off doing other films, and it’s all in conversations and in development and things like that. A lot of little different things need to come together for it to happen, but I don’t have 24 inch pythons. Yet.”
