Since Triple H assumed creative control of WWE he has re-signed a number of former Superstars and it appears that Chelsea Green could be about to add her name to that list.
As reported by PWInsider Chelsea Green has now finished her run with IMAPCT Wrestling. On the October 27th edition of IMPACT Green acted erratically throughout a six-woman tag team match where she teamed with Deonna Purrazzo and Gisele Shaw to take on Mickie James, Taylor Wilde and Jordynne Grace. After the match Green vowed to “end” Mickie James.
Chelsea Green Reportedly Done With IMPACT Wrestling
The report states that at the tapings which will air in the coming week, Green and James have a singles match with a “loser leaves IMPACT” stipulation. A exit vignette has reportedly already been filmed and will be aired following Green’s defeat to her rival.
It has been claimed that there has been a lot of talk within IMPACT Wrestling that Chelsea Green could be heading back to WWE. Meanwhile, it has previously been reported that there is “significant interest” from in bringing the star back into the fold. However, at time of writing there has been no confirmation that such a deal has been done.
After stints with Lucha Underground and IMPACT Wrestling, Chelsea Green signed with WWE in 2018. Although the star had appeared on WWE television previously in 2014 and on the sixth season of Tough Enough.
Upon signing with the company Chelsea Green competed on NXT before moving to SmackDown in November 2020. However, the former Knockouts Champion got injured during her debut match and didn’t feature for the company again before being released the following April.
After leaving WWE in April 2021 Chelsea Green headed out onto the independent scene alongside husband Matt Cardona. Green has since appeared in the NWA, ROH and most recently IMPACT Wrestling.
