A new report has emerged suggesting that former NXT star Chelsea Green could be in talks about a debut with yet another company following her WWE exit.
Green joined WWE as part of NXT in 2018 but struggled to find television time on the black and gold brand. In her debut on SmackDown ahead of the 2020 Survivor Series, she suffered an unfortunate wrist injury that supposedly cost her a place on the blue brand’s team at the pay-per-view.
In April 2021 Green was released from her WWE contract along with a raft of other talents as part of continuing budget cuts in the company. Since then following the conclusion of her ninety-day non-compete clause the Canadian star has wasted no time dipping her toes in the water of other companies.
Chelsea Green debuted for Ring Of Honor in July 2021 announcing that she would provide commentary for the tournament to crown the first-ever Ring Of Honor Women’s World Champion.
Following that appearance, she made a return to IMPACT Wrestling where she had previously competed as Laurel Van Ness. Green teamed up with fiancé Matt Cardona in a mixed tag team match at Slammiversary defeating Brian Myers and Tenille Dashwood.
If that wasn’t enough Green has also been announced as part of the upcoming all-female NWA EmPowerrr show where she will take part in the NWA Women’s Invitational Cup.
Now Fightful Select has reported that Green could be set to make her debut for yet another wrestling promotion. The report states that Green has had talks with Mexican company AAA about debuting for them but an upturn in the continuing pandemic seems to have slowed progress. Furthermore, Chelsea Green has reportedly not signed a contract with any company and any promotion she is doing business with is said to be aware that Green is looking to work in a variety of places.
