WWE SmackDown Superstar Chelsea Green has reportedly been cleared for a return to the ring.
The Canadian star sustained a broken wrist during her WWE SmackDown debut back on November 13th 2020, and has not been seen on WWE television since.
According to Fightful Select, Green recently signed a new three-year deal with WWE and has been medically cleared for a return, although there are no firm plans in place as of yet.
Smackdown sources confirmed that she was cleared to make an in-ring return by mid-February.
Chelsea Green signed for WWE in August 2018, making her in-ring debut at a live event that October. The former IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion made her first foray onto the main roster in December 2019 where she was defeated by Charlotte Flair. Green would go on to form an alliance with Robert Stone on NXT, but would eventually fire him, clearing the way for her to move to the main roster.
During her debut on SmackDown in a Fatal Four-Way match against Liv Morgan, Tamina and Natalya, Green took a bump to the outside, falling awkwardly. It was later confirmed that she had broken her wrist, mirroring the injury she sustained on her TV debut on NXT in March 2019.
It was reported in the weeks after sustaining the injury, that long before Green debuted on SmackDown, she had been slated to be involved in a major storyline with Mickie James.
