WWE star Chelsea Green stepped away from social media after receiving death threats online.
The star recently faced a lot of backlash following her comments after the passing of WWE legend Hulk Hogan. Chelsea, who is a former United States Champion, immediately issued an apology for the post and stated that she tried to keep her social media presence light and wholesome. Green was present on the latest episode of SmackDown in a match against Jade Cargill.
However, it was her revelation on social media that grabbed the headlines.
Chelsea Green revealed that she received death threats for her post
Taking to X/Twitter, Chelsea Green revealed that she received a lot of death threats for her posts regarding Hulk Hogan in the wake of the legend’s passing. The star was concerned for herself and her mental health, making an announcement about the same.
The Hot Mess revealed that she would be stepping away from social media for the time being after receiving death threats and being the victim of name-calling online.
I’ve tried to keep my page positive and comedic, but today, a lot changed… and it hit harder than I expected. The name calling, the death threats, the faceless accounts. Social media was supposed to be a fun place and it hasn’t been for a while. It’s been overwhelming and I need to step away for a little bit. Love my PatriHOTS! xo president chels,” she wrote.

Although the star did not reveal when she would be back, it was concerning for her fans that she received so much negativity over her posts.
Green is currently not booked for SummerSlam and has been sort of embroiled in a feud with Jade Cargill. The latter attacked her in a backstage segment on SmackDown before taking her down in a bout.
ITR Wrestling would like to wish Chelsea Green all the best as she moves away from social media.
