Chelsea Green has another celebrity dream match in mind.
2024 saw Green have a standout year with memorable moments in the Women’s Royal Rumble and Money in the Bank matches along with maximising her minutes at every opportunity. Capping off a great year at the returning Saturday Night’s Main Event special, Green made history at the show by becoming the first-ever Women’s United States Champion.
With Green looking to continue the positive momentum into 2025 and continue her record-breaking reign as the longest reigning Women’s United States Champion in company history, the champ has added an unlikely name to her list of dream matches.
Actress Vanessa Hudgens has been spotted at multiple WWE shows in recent weeks and even joined Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso for a celebratory Yeet after SmackDown went off the air. While speaking on Casual Conversations with The Classic, Green added Hudgens to the list that also includes music megastar Cardi B:
“I keep seeing Miss Vanessa Hudgens. I want to give myself a match with Vanessa Hudgens and a match with Cardi B. Those are my dream celeb matches right now.”
High Praise For Chelsea Green
Shortly after it was announced on SmackDown that a women’s mid-card championship was set to be introduced, fans made it clear that Green was their choice to win the tournament and become the first-ever champion. Echoing the same sentiment, one WWE Hall of Famer was delighted to see Chelsea Green win the gold, adding that she was very deserving of the accolade.
In other WWE news, Ric Flair is among the Hall of Famers rumoured to be making a return.
In a new interview, Chelsea Green has stated why fans struggle to embrace the “perfect” babyface.
