Former champion Chelsea Green is expected to undergo a major on-screen change.
Earlier this month, on the 24th May edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, Chelsea Green failed to win back her women’s United States Championship from Zelina Vega. However, while she lost the match, Chelsea Green also suffered a broken nose during the bout.
Now, almost a week later, a new report from Fightful Select has emerged sharing an update on Green’s current injury status and future appearances. According to the report, Green was examined backstage after her bout, where it was confirmed that the break was clean. Numerous staff backstage noted that Green handled the situation well and maintained a positive attitude despite the break.
Several people in the promotion were also impressed with how Green milked the injury on social media and used it to generate content. This is also not the first time she has suffered a similar injury. The former Women’s US Champion is now expected to continue her television appearances while wearing a face mask.
Update On Chelsea Green’s WWE Future
Despite her failure to win the title earlier this month, Green is expected to continue her tenure with WWE. A report from Fightful Select recently emerged, noting that Green is now under a new multiple-year deal with the company.
She had previously signed her last deal in late 2022, which was due to expire later in 2025. However, before the expiration date came, Green put pen to paper on a new deal.
