Chelsea Green predicts big things for one member of the WWE NXT roster who is making waves on the developmental brand.
The Women’s United States Champion has made a number of appearances on NXT in recent weeks. Green’s most recent match on the brand saw her team with Piper Niven in a losing effort to the new duo of Sol Ruca and Zaria. Green also suffered a busted nose in the match following a shot from Ruca.
While speaking with Alistair McGeorge of Metro, Green stated that she could see the NXT star thriving on the main roster, adding that thankfully her nose was not broken in the match:
“That’s a woman right there that I could totally see her going up and thriving on the main roster. As you can see, my nose is intact, it was not broken. It did bleed, like – my goodness, like a fire hydrant! But we’re good. I sound a little nasally, but look, I’ve still got my championship sitting there on my bed.”
Continuing, the Women’s United States Champion also spoke about the importance of elevating the women’s division as she has also had that experience earlier in her career:
“I always want to be able to elevate the women in the division. You know, I’ve been doing this now 11 years. There’s a lot of women that helped me and paved the way for me and elevated me. Michin was one of them at the very beginning of my career. She really, really helped me. Gail Kim helped me. All the women on Total Divas set the set the tone for us. So, now it’s my turn.”

With WrestleMania 41 being the first iteration of the event since the Women’s US Title was introduced, Green will be hoping that the championship will be featured prominently in Las Vegas next month. In the same interview, Chelsea Green teased a possible match against a Hall of Famer.
