WCW legend Konnan has said he believes Randy Orton vs Charlotte Flair “will happen” at some point.
Speaking on Keepin’ It 100, Konnan opened up about the possibility of Charlotte Flair vs Randy Orton – following on from rumours that emerged after The Viper’s attacks on former Evolution teammate Ric Flair over the past year.
The former Lucha Underground star made the bold prediction that the match “will happen” one day, before pitching a new stable involving both Superstars.
“I will say this, I doubt they are ready for that route yet, but one day it will happen. You know what I thought of right now? Since he said Orton vs Charlotte, a cool – since he said Orton vs Charlotte Four Horsemen/women hybrid where it’s Charlotte, Randy Orton, Karrion Kross and Rhea Ripley. How badass would that be?”
One sign that would point to the match not happening any time soon is that, currently on RAW, Charlotte Flair is actually embroiled in somewhat of a rivalry with her own father, who has sided with Lacey Evans in recent weeks. Ric Flair tripped his daughter several weeks ago, in a seemingly accidental move, which cost The Queen a victory while facing Peyton Royce. It’s since emerged that Ric Flair is actually out to help Lacey Evans and also to distract his daughter, as he has done on several consecutive weeks now.
It recently emerged that Charlotte Flair brought in the most viewership for NXT across the year of 2020, drawing 47,000 new viewers per segment, as she chased Rhea Ripley for the title before holding the NXT Women’s Championship on the black and gold brand post-WrestleMania.
