Charlotte Flair In Talks With WWE As Absence Continues

Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair hasn’t appeared on WWE television since losing an “I Quit” Match to Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania Backlash back on May 8th. In storyline, Flair was put out of action due to an arm injury sustained in the match at the hands of Rousey. However, she was really being written off television due to her upcoming wedding to AEW star Andrade El Idolo. The couple married on May 28th.

Following her wedding and subsequent honeymoon, many fans thought that Flair would be back in action within a couple of months. Despite this, there has been no official word regarding a return. The situation became even less clear in early October when Andrade noted in an interview that the star was missing due to “personal reasons.” There was no indication on what these “personal reasons” were.

Charlotte Flair Taking To WWE

During an appearance on his To Be The Man podcast, Flair’s father, Ric Flair was asked when fans might expect to see her back in the ring. The two-time WWE Hall of Famer admitted that he didn’t know the details but that his daughter was still talking with the company. He added that she tends to keep things to herself as she knows he can’t keep a secret.

“To be very honest, I have no idea. She keeps everything to herself. I know she’s talking to the company, but I don’t know any more than that. If I did, I couldn’t tell you anyway. She doesn’t trust me to tell me anything because I can’t keep my mouth shut.”

Podcast co-host, Conrad Thompson (Charlotte Flair’s brother-in-law) reiterated that the star isn’t injured.

“You and I know that physically, she’s fine. Emotionally, she’s fine. It’s her business to share. But I guess what I wanted to sort of set the record straight on [is] there’s nothing wrong with Charlotte Flair. She’s just fine.”

While discussing his daughter’s in-ring prowess, Ric Flair claimed that she is the “greatest” female performer of all-time.
