Charlotte Flair has been fined $100,000 and suspended indefinitely by WWE official Adam Pearce as part of her ongoing storyline on Raw.
Flair returned to WWE television on the Raw after WrestleMania following several weeks off-screen. Upon her return ‘The Queen’ lambasted the fact that she was missing from the WrestleMania card after two potential match-ups fell through.
Originally Flair was reportedly set to face Lacey Evans at ‘The Show of Shows’ before Evans announced her real-life pregnancy. Flair then challenged Asuka to a match for the Raw Women’s Championship but this fell by the wayside after Flair herself had to miss several weeks of action. This allowed a debuting Rhea Ripley to challenge Asuka and win the Raw Women’s Title at WrestleMania.
Asuka Defeated Charlotte Flair
On this week’s episode of Raw, Flair gave another impassioned promo where she described her fellow female superstars as ‘rats’. Flair went on to say that she could beat Asuka or Ripley, and perhaps tellingly, both women on the same night.
This caused both Asuka and Ripley to interrupt Flair. This then led to a match between Flair and Asuka later in the night. With Ripley watching on from outside the ring. Both women traded their signature submission holds with Flair locking in the Figure Eight. As she arched up into the hold, Ripley pulled Flair’s arms away causing her to break the hold. Asuka soon capitalised and pinned Flair with a crucifix pin.
An irate Flair took her frustrations out on referee Eddie Orengo who missed the outside interference. Flair stomped the official before delivering a series of nasty elbows to the back of his head.
On Raw Talk, Adam Pearce made an appearance to confirm that Flair was to be severely punished for her actions. Pearce labelled Flair’s attack as unprofessional conduct before fining Flair $100,000 and suspending her indefinitely.
Charlotte Flair recently took to social media to show off a devilish new look to match her new ruthless attitude on the red brand.
