Charlotte Flair has given her thoughts on John Cena calling out her father Ric Flair on a recent episode of WWE Raw.
Continuing his heel promos in the lead-up to his WrestleMania 41 match against Cody Rhodes, Cena vowed to win a 17th World Championship and in the process, break the WWE record and erase the legacy of The Nature Boy, who is also recognised as having 16 World Titles to his name.
During an interview with Alex Pattle of The Independent, Charlotte was asked about the Cena promo, to which The Queen responded that it is impossible to erase the Flair name and that she would break the record regardless of who holds it:
“You can’t erase history. History is facts. And if you erase my dad, you erase me. It’s not possible to erase the last name Flair.
“I plan on breaking my dad’s record, that’s something I want to do and will do. But if John is the first to break it, then I will break John’s record.”
If Flair defeats Tiffany Stratton at WrestleMania 41, she will become a 15-time World Champion. In previous interviews, Ric Flair has admitted that if it were up to him he would rather see his daughter break the record as opposed to Cena.

Ahead of her match with Women’s Champion Stratton, Flair was part of a promo segment with her Mania opponent which saw her decisively win the exchange.
