Charlotte Flair Pays Tribute To The Bella Twins

Bella Twins

Charlotte Flair has paid tribute to Nikki and Brie Bella with the twins set to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame in the Class of 2020.

Flair took to social media to post a heartfelt message on congratulations to the Bellas. ‘The Queen’ also noted the effect both women had on her career.

Charlotte Flair tweeted:

“Congratulations Nikki and Brie. I can’t emphasize enough on what I learned having the opportunity to face them when I debuted. I remember watching their entrance as I stood in the ring and grasping what it meant to be a star.”

Flair followed this up by remarking on the trailblazing example the Hall Of Fame bound sisters set for other women in WWE:

“They have opened doors for generations to come and I am thankful for the times I was able to be in the ring with both queens. So proud and congratulations ladies”

Nikki Bella is a two-time WWE Divas Champion. Her second reign as champion began at the 2014 Survivor Series. Nikki then held the title for a record-breaking 301 days before losing the belt to Charlotte. Nikki’s last match in WWE was the main event of the women-only Evolution event. In that contest, Bella was unsuccessful in challenging ‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey for the Raw Women’s Title.
Brie Bella also held the WWE Divas Championship for a seventy-day reign in 2011. Brie won the title on an episode of Raw from then-champion Eve Torres. Ten weeks later she lost the title, also on Raw to Kelly Kelly.
The Bellas enter the WWE Hall Of Fame as part of the delayed 2020 class. They are to be joined by JBL, The British Bulldog, Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger, William Shatner, and the nWo.

The WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony will air on Peacock in the United States and elsewhere on the WWE Network on Tuesday, April 6th.
