Charlotte Flair may have retained her title at WrestleMania but she forced WWE to cut the live feed of the show after suffering an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction.
At WrestleMania Charlotte Flair put her SmackDown Women’s Championship on the line after being challenged by 2022 women’s Royal Rumble winner ‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey.
The match filled the semi-main event slot on WrestleMania Saturday and the two women fought ferociously in a battle of submission holds. Ultimately, it was a big boot by Flair that helped her retain her championship but a knocked-out referee failed to see The Queen tap out to Rousey’s patented armbar.
During the bout, WWE fans watching around the world noticed the screen cut to black for a few seconds before the live pictures returned and the reason for this blackout has now been revealed. Charlotte Flair appeared to spill out of her top briefly as she arched up to hook in the Figure Eight on Rousey. With cameras catching Flair’s slip, WWE abandoned the live picture.
Flair’s win means she is still undefeated in singles matches at WrestleMania after previously besting the likes of Asuka and Rhea Ripley on The Grandest Stage Of Them All.
The defeat for The Baddest Woman On The Planet means Rousey now has a losing WrestleMania record of 1-2 but the controversial nature of her defeat means her quest for gold and Flair is likely not over.
