Charlotte Flair and Andrade El Idolo will reportedly be tying the knot this month.
At WrestleMania Backlash, Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey went to war over the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
After Flair had retained her title at WrestleMania 38 despite tapping out, something which went unseen by the referee, Ronda Rousey went searching for revenge. The result was an “I Quit” Match on May 8th.
During the bout, the two women traded Kendo stick shots, brawled into the crowd and used every inch of the ring and ringside area to inflict as much pain as possible on each other. After surviving the Natural Selection on a chair, Rousey fought back to grab the win, trapping Flair in an Arm-Bar with the help of a steel chair.
Charlotte Flair had held the SmackDown Women’s Championship since October 22nd, and her now infamous title swap with then champion Becky Lynch. Prior to that, The Queen had held the Raw Women’s Championship since SummerSlam.
In the days after the bout on The Bump, it was announced that Flair will be out of action indefinitely. The injury being used to write her off television to get married.
Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that the couple will be getting married over Memorial Weekend, May 27th – 30th.
The couple began dating back in February 2019, before getting engaged on January 1st 2020.
