There had been some speculation online that Flair’s absence was due to her fiancé Andrade leaving WWE, but this has now been proven to not be the case.
Shortly after her post on Twitter, Flair’s COVID diagnosis was also mentioned by a debuting Rhea Ripley as she challenged WWE Women’s Champion Asuka to a match at WrestleMania.
Andrade had first asked for his release from WWE on March 12th but his request was denied. However, it has now been announced by WWE, that Andrade had left the company. The former NXT Champion thanked Triple H, William Regal and Paul Heyman in his own statement addressing his departure.
Following Andrade’s release, the likes of Thea Trinidad, Angel Garza and Buddy Murphy have posted messages in support of the former United States Champion.
In happier news for Flair, she has recently landed a major acting role, as she continues to grow her career outside of WWE. The Queen is fresh of a role in Punky Brewster but has now earned a role in the upcoming remake of the 1973 film Walking Tall. The movie was also remade in 2004 with another WWE Superstar taking a major role, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
