Charlie Haas Hilariously Recalls Accidentally Ribbing JBL

Charlie Haas

Former WWE Tag Team Champion Charlie Haas has discussed inadvertently pulling a rib on WWE Hall Of Famer JBL and being warned not to go to sleep.

Former Team Angle member Charlie Haas was a recent guest on Stories With Brisco And Bradshaw with WWE Hall Of Famers JBL and Gerald Brisco. During Haas’ appearance on the show he recalled a run-in with JBL that came about when he tried to get his own back on Rikishi:

“We were in South Africa. I bought this hat at the airport, and I remember Rikishi wore it out and he squashed it. This is during the South Africa tour, and I’m like man, I’m gonna get this son b*tch. So I thought he was in the shower, and I had this whole bucket full of ice made and water.”

“I remember Shelton [Benjamin] pulling the curtain, and he pulls the curtain and I throw the water. Who do I hit? It’s JBL. I’m like motherf*cker.”

“John looks at me and goes ‘You son of a…’ and he takes off after me, thank God he couldn’t catch me. But he goes ‘You know what Haas? Do not go to sleep this tour.’ Dude that whole tour I had a chair pried underneath the doorknob and I was so scared that they would get the key.”

When the last day of the tour came, Charlie Haas found out what his retribution was when he found his bag covered in chains and dozens of locks:

“Until the last day of the show, I found my bag, it was in chains and had 50 different locks on it and it was chained up. We were in the first match and I’m like well how am I going to get my stuff out of there? And John goes ‘Here I got a key for you Charlie.’ And he threw me like 100 keys.”

“I’m sitting there going ‘You’re not Rikishi! Oh, sh*t!’ I was scared to death. I did not sleep that whole tour. I did not know if I was going to get my head shaved, eyebrows shaved, I didn’t know what was going to happen. But thank God John just tied up my bag.”

In an exclusive interview with Inside The Ropes, JBL recently discussed who some of the scariest stars he ever had to share a locker room with were.
