Charlie Campbell is a huge fan of The Rock.
Campbell entered his fight against Alex Reyes as a huge favourite and demolished his rival in short order. Reyes, who was returning to the octagon after a six-year break, was no match for the 28-year-old.
After the fight, Campbell was interviewed by Daniel Cormier and asked about his boxing. To which Campbell hilariously responded, “It doesn’t matter what you think!” The catchphrase made famous by The Rock.
The Rock Makes Surprise WWE Return
On the September 15th episode of SmackDown, The Rock made a surprise return to WWE alongside Pat McAfee who was also making his first appearance since WrestleMania.
The former WWE Champion had earlier been a guest on McAfee’s podcast which was also filmed in Denver. The Hollywood megastar discussed his WWE future and admitted he had agreed to wrestle at WrestleMania 39.
It was McAfee who kicked off the show, only to be confronted by his former rival Austin Theory. After some back and forth, the former NFL star and SmackDown announcer introduced The Great One to a monster reception.
The legend dropped in a couple of catchphrases before he joined McAfee in dropping a People’s Elbow on Theory.
The Rock’s return paid huge dividends with impressive preliminary ratings for SmackDown, leading to a 36% increase in the 18-49 key demographic versus last week’s episode!
