The AEW Tag Team Titles will be on the line in a huge Street Fight.
On the December 29th edition of Rampage, Chris Jericho reunited Le Sex Gods with Sammy Guevara. The pair had been at odds since Guevara turned on The Ocho to side with Don Callis in September 2023. Then, at WrestleDream, Guevara, Will Ospreay, and Konosuke Takeshita defeated Jericho, Kenny Omega, and Kota Ibushi. However, during the match, Sammy Guevara suffered a concussion which put him on the shelf for months.
After Guevara returned in December, Don Callis and his family turned on the star and launched a vicious assault, only for Jericho to make the save. After seeing off Callis’ group, Jericho and Guevara were laid out by the AEW Tag Team Champions, Big Bill and Ricky Starks.
On Rampage, Jericho and Guevara put the past behind them and decided to be a team again, setting their sites on the Tag Titles. Jericho had previously earned a shot at the championships alongside Kenny Omega, and retained that contract after Omega was forced to take a leave of absence due to diverticulitis.
