Another match has been confirmed for WWE Clash at the Castle.
Appearing live on the June 3rd episode of Raw, Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn addressed Chad Gable’s repeated insults directed at fellow Alpha Academy members before inviting him out to the ring. While Otis, Akira Tozawa and Maxxine Dupri all appeared, Gable was not with the group.
Zayn agreed to put the title on the line once more at the upcoming Premium Live Event if it meant that this rivalry would finally end. Zayn then spoke to the other members of Alpha Academy before being attacked from behind by the group’s leader as Otis, Dupri and Tozawa all watched on.
With Zayn down, Gable turned his attention to the other members of the group. With Dupri literally begging Gable to stop, Otis eventually confronted Gable to a massive ovation from the live crowd before Zayn made his comeback. As Gable launched Zayn into Otis, Durpi and Tozawa were knocked off the apron. Gable managed to convince Otis that it was Zayn’s fault and Zayn was laid out as the segment ended.
Later in the night, Gable praised Otis for his actions in a backstage segment while ignoring the injuries sustained to Tozawa and Dupri after they fell off the apron to the floor.
It should also be noted that at the time of writing, Chad Gable has not signed a new contract and his current deal is set to expire on Friday, June 7th.
