“Champagne Championship Celebration” Added To AEW Full Gear

AEW Full Gear

A unique celebration has been announced for All Elite Wrestling’s next big event, Full Gear.

Over the past few weeks, AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May has been embroiled in a feud with Anna Jay. Things kicked off at Battle of the Belts XII when Anna Jay scored a shock win over Mariah May, securing a future shot at the gold.

That chance came on the November 2nd edition of Collision when the pair met in the main event. While Jay came close on a number of occasions, The Glamour pulled out the victory when she escaped the Queen Slayer submission and rolled Jay up for the three-count.

With the score tied at 1-1, Jay and May clashed for the title one more time on November 16th, this time under No DQ rules. While Jay almost made the champion submit to a Queen Slayer with her arm wrapped in barbed wire, May was able to spray her in the eyes with an aerosol can to get away. She then dropped Jay onto a chair with Storm Zero for an emphatic victory to end the rivalry.

Following the win, Mina Shirakawa celebrated with May, and it was announced that the pair would continue the festivities with a “champagne championship celebration” at Full Gear.
