‘The Swiss Superman’ Cesaro has posted an emotional video on Twitter following his incredible performance inside the SmackDown Elimination Chamber.
On February 21, 2020, Cesaro stepped into the hellish structure along with Daniel Bryan, Kevin Owens, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn and King Corbin to vie for a WWE Universal Championship Match with Roman Reigns which would immediately follow the unforgiving encounter.
After beginning the bout with Daniel Bryan, Cesaro proved to the world why he was worthy of a main event push and WWE Universal Championship programme when lasted 32:50 before eventually being eliminated by Jey Uso.
Following the superhuman performance, Cesaro took to Twitter in order to send an emotional message to his supporters and those who had been pushing for his promotion for years:
“I’ve been driving for an hour in silence. I don’t really know what to say. So close. Thanks to everyone who believed and still does. I still do. I appreciate you. Always.”

The words of the Swiss grappler caught the eyes and hearts of millions including former WWE Intercontinental Champion and current NXT commentator Wade Barrett, who replied to his message by stating that his friend should keep “buying a ticket” and not give up on his dreams.
In the weeks prior to the Elimination Chamber, Cesaro had been rallying for a main event position when it was revealed that he had signed a brand new contract with the company that will keep him on the roster for the next few years.
