Former champion Cedric Alexander has announced his WWE exit.

Ex-Cruiserweight and former Raw tag-team champion Cedric Alexander seems to be done with the promotion. An active member of the roster for the last eight and a half years since 2016, Alexander recently indicated his upcoming free-agency status.

Through an X(Twitter) post ahead of the 7th February SmackDown episode, the former Hurt Business Member shared the following statement:

“Thank you for the last 8 1/2 years! Being a professional wrestler has been a dream of mine since I could form memories and I will continue to do so till the good Lord says otherwise.”

The “see you in 90” possibly references a 90-day non-compete clause, which suggests that Alexander will be free to sign with a different promotion after that period. Although the exact details of his possible departure are unknown, he confirmed his exit from the promotion through this post.

Alexander’s last televised match took place on the 28th January episode of NXT in a loss against Ethan Page.

Cedric Alexander Had Just Re-Signed His Contract In 2024

Last year in September 2024, a report by Fightful Select noted that Cedric Alexander had re-signed with the promotion earlier that year. The update further reported that the deal was supposedly a multi-year agreement, which makes the sudden departure even more shocking.
