Carmella has given an update on her condition after she suffered an injury at a recent live event.
At a WWE Live Event on August 6th Carmella was competing in a Triple Threat Match with Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair and Asuka. During the match real-life Leah Van Dale appeared to get knocked out, and immediately rolled out of the ring after falling to the canvas.
The referee quickly threw up an ‘X’ signal to indicate that the star had suffered an injury, and she was escorted backstage, shielding her eyes from the lights along the way.
Reports after the event suggested that the former SmackDown Women’s Champion had been knocked out, although the injury wasn’t said to be severe.
While responding to a fan asking when she was getting back in the ring, Carmella has now offered her own update on social media. The star said that she’s not sure when she’ll be back as she’s still recovering.
I’m not sure yet.. still recovering. Hopefully soon! 🤞🏻

At the time of the injury, Corey Graves, who is married to the star, sparked controversy with a quickly deleted tweet where he lashed out at WWE after he found out about the incident via Twitter.
The star’s most recent match on Raw came on July 18th when she was defeated by Bianca Belair. More recently she teamed with Tamina on the July 28th edition of Main Event where the pair were defeated by Asuka and Dana Brooke.
