Carmella Announces Engagement To Corey Graves

Liv Morgan Carmella WWE SmackDown

WWE SmackDown Superstar Carmella took to social media to announce her engagement to fellow WWE talent and former NXT Superstar Corey Graves calling the surprise part of the ‘Best birthday ever.’

The announcement was treated with an outpouring of support and congratulations from current and former WWE Superstars alike with NXT’s Mandy Rose & former WWE Superstar Aiden English taking to social media to congratulate the happy couple on their fantastic news.

The news comes just weeks after Carmella took to social media to share a powerful and important message on the impact that cyber harassment has had on her mental and physical wellbeing.

SmackDown Superstar Carmella would hit back at the “hate and threats” that she has received on social media, describing the comments as “disturbing.”

Writing on Twitter and Instagram, the former SmackDown Women’s Champion said that it can be difficult to ignore negative comments, adding “y’all can be so cruel.”

Carmella’s comments were posted alongside a no-makeup non-filtered selfie with the star explaining that she wants to be more real with her fans.

“It’s been a while since I’ve posted a no makeup, non-filtered selfie. Do I love getting dressed up and having my hair and makeup done? Yes! But a majority of my time is spent in sweats with no makeup on my face and my hair in a bun.. that’s MY reality most of the time.

“So I need to do better with being real with you all on here. To be completely honest, being on Instagram and Twitter recently has been hard. The hate and the threats are at an all-time high, it’s quite disturbing actually. I usually just try to post and leave it alone, but it’s hard to NOT read the negativity sometimes. Y’all can be so cruel.

“Luckily, I know who I am. I’m not going to let you get to me. I just wanted to post this as a friendly reminder not to believe everything you read and see on the internet. Do you, for you.”

On a recent episode of SmackDown Carmella defeated Liv Morgan to progress in the first-ever Queen’s Crown tournament, before ultimately being defeated by eventual winner Zelina Vega.

The victory for Zelina Vega marks quite the turnaround for the Superstar who was released by WWE back in November 2020. The former IMPACT Wrestling star returned to WWE in July but got off to a rocky start with a series of defeats.

The start of the Queen’s Crown tournament marked an upturn in fortunes, however, as she rattled off three consecutive wins to quite literally claiming the crown.

Inside The Ropes would like to congratulate Carmella & Corey Graves on their engagement and wish them the best of wishes for the rest of 2021 and into the new year.
