Carmella has accomplished something no other woman has done this year.
Carmella challenged Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair at Money In The Bank. Despite coming up short, the Princess was given another shot at Belair in a non-title match on the July 11th edition of Raw.
Thanks to outside interference from Becky Lynch, Carmella earned a count-out victory over the EST. This led to Carmella getting a championship rematch the following week. Unfortunately for the Princess, she wasn’t able to dethrone the champ.
However, Sportskeeda has pointed out an interesting statistic that’d make the Princess a least a bit proud. Her count-out victory over Belair means she’s technically the only person to beat the champ in 2022.
The last major one-on-one televised match that Belair lost was against Lynch in November last year. While this won’t make up for the fact Carmella didn’t end up with the Raw Women’s Championship; she can at least tout she’s the only person to earn somewhat of a win over the dominant champion.

Meanwhile, Belair looks to finally finish her rivalry with Lynch at SummerSlam on July 30th. The two began their feud at last year’s event when Lynch made her surprise return after taking time away from WWE due to her pregnancy. That night, Lynch defeated the EST in 26 seconds to end Belair’s reign as SmackDown Women’s Champion.
