Carlito Breaks Silence After Sudden End To His 2nd WWE Run

Carlito cutting a promo on WWE SmackDown

Carlito has issued a statement about his abrupt WWE departure.

In news that seemingly came out of nowhere, it was reported that Carlito would be leaving the WWE as the company has chosen not to renew his contract.

The former United States champion took to social media to confirm this report. The Judgement Day member also shared some hilarious claims, as expected.

Carlito declared that the promotion had asked him to return the money they paid him for “stealing” from them and that his lawyers had advised him to pay up. He informed fans that he had 2 weeks left in his contract and would reappear in 13 years, just like he did when he last signed with the company.

He tweeted:

My contract is up in 2 weeks. It will not be renewed. On top of that, WWE is demanding I pay back the $ they paid me for apparently “stealing money” from the company. I’ve had my lawyers look into it and after reviewing my footage on Netflix for the past months they suggested I pay them back the money. All jokes aside, gracias WWE & especially the WWE universe. Los quiero mucho!

PS…I’ll reappear again in another 13yrs

Dios me los bendiga!

Carlito Joins A Former Judgment Day Associate In Exiting WWE

As reported earlier, R-Truth also announced that he was departing the company. The situation for both of these veterans’ releases is similar, as WWE will not be extending their contracts, and both, bizarrely, also have connections to the Judgment Day.

With another 2 weeks left on his deal, it remains to be seen if we could see this played into an on-screen angle.

It is also great to know that Carlito has taken this news in good spirits, and with him recently winning a singles title, the future seems bright for the Puerto Rican star.
