On September 26th, Candice LeRae made her return to WWE for the first time since appearing in WWE NXT in December of 2021. During her time away, she gave birth to her son Quill in February and took the time to celebrate with her husband Johnny Gargano, who made his own return to the red brand back in August.
LeRae’s debut as part of the WWE Raw roster saw her defeat Nikki Cross in her last match as Nikki ASH. In the following weeks, she found herself embroiled in a feud with the members of Damage CTRL, losing to Dakota Kai but scoring an upset victory over Bayley. On October 24th, during a backstage interview with Cathy Kelley, LeRae was viciously attacked by the members of Damage CTRL, and she hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since.
Candice LeRae Re-Introduced Herself To Damage CTRL On WWE Raw
Five weeks after being attacked and written off television, Candice LeRae returned to WWE Raw on November 28th, once again speaking to Cathy Kelley backstage. She questioned why Bayley‘s team would attack her, wondering aloud whether they thought she was the old Candice LeRae. She then grabbed the microphone and said she was here to re-introduce herself to the members of Damage CTRL before laying waste to Dakota Kai in their scheduled bout later in the evening.
Sure enough, after a hard-fought match, Candice LeRae was able to defeat Dakota Kai later in the night.
Elsewhere on WWE Raw, Becky Lynch opened the commercial-free first hour by celebrating her WarGames victory with members of the WWE audience. She was interrupted by Bayley, and the two women (as well as Dakota Kai and IYO SKY) ended up brawling into the concourse of the Scope Arena in Norfolk, VA. After being out of action since suffering a shoulder injury at SummerSlam, Lynch made her in-ring return at WWE Survivor Series and picked up the win for her team when she pinned Dakota Kai.
Meanwhile, new United States Champion Austin Theory addressed his Survivor Series win before being interrupted by former champion Seth Rollins.
