It has been announced via WWE that Cameron Grimes will go to war with ‘The Time Splitter’ Kushida on Wednesday’s edition of NXT.
Recently, Kushida has been on somewhat of a winning streak on the black and gold brand racking up victories over Velveteen Dream at NXT TakeOver 31 and Tommaso Ciampa and Dream in a Triple Threat Match two weeks ago.
In fact, the only match Kushida hasn’t prevailed in during his last four outings was a singles bout against former NXT Champion Ciampa on October 7. That clash ended via disqualification when Velveteen Dream accidentally struck ‘The Psycho Killer’ during interference.
With Velveteen Dream and Ciampa seemingly behind him, Kushida now looks to extend his winning streak as he eyes the NXT North American and NXT Championship.
As for Cameron Grimes, his undefeated streak came to an end at the hands of the tortured Dexter Lumis at NXT Halloween Havoc last week in the zany Haunted House of Terrors Match. Before that, he had been victorious over Ridge Holland and Joe Pistachio.
Having been consumed with putting an end to Lumis for the last few months, Grimes will also be looking a huge victory to boost him up the food chain and set him on course for an NXT North American Championship meeting with Johnny Gargano.
Inside the Ropes will have full coverage of NXT.
