Bully Ray Discusses Why WWE Shouldn’t Bring Back The Fiend

Bray Wyatt

WWE and TNA Hall of Famer Bully Ray, formerly known as Bubba Ray Dudley, has no interest in seeing Bray Wyatt using his “The Fiend” gimmick anymore, recently explaining why on SiriusXM.

Bray Wyatt made his return back to World Wrestling Entertainment at their Extreme Rules Premium Live Event, with all of the characters from the Firefly Fun House also getting a spotlight at the end of the show. Following his comeback, he then made an appearance on WWE Smackdown, giving a heartfelt speech to fans and showing gratitude for their support.

Bully Ray Is No Fan Of The Fiend

Speaking on a recent episode of “Busted Open” on SiriusXM, Bully Ray explained why he doesn’t want to see The Fiend anymore, pointing out all of the issues that he had with the character’s first stint in WWE. Bully Ray said he was puzzled with the gimmick, and that Wyatt and WWE should get rid of it.

“Yes, he is the ultimate gimmick, but, to me, it can get a little too gimmicky at times. Even with The Undertaker, The Undertaker was the ultimate gimmick but when the lights came on and the bell rang, he wrestled matches as The Undertaker and you knew what you were.

Sometimes I’m confused by what I get with Bray Wyatt or The Fiend – and maybe I shouldn’t even say Bray Wyatt ’cause when Bray Wyatt was in the Wyatt Family, I think the matches were a lot easier to understand and digest than they were with The Fiend. I hope they stay away from The Fiend character because when it comes to The Fiend and actual wrestling. I think there’s a disconnect with the people.”

“Sexual Chocolate” and “Hall of Pain” Mark Henry was also featured on “Busted Open,” saying that WWE could come with a load of storylines for Wyatt, labeling him “the ultimate gimmick.”
