Bully Ray has boldly claimed that two former WWE Champions are “genuinely too nice” to be considered on Brock Lesnar’s level.
Brock Lesnar hadn’t been seen on WWE television since SummerSlam until he making a shock appearance on the October 10th edition of Monday Night Raw.
Lesnar came to the ring to attack Bobby Lashley seemingly reigniting the feud between the pair from earlier in the year. Following the beatdown Lashley was defeated by Seth Rollins, losing the United States Championship in the process.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio about Lesnar’s comeback, Bully Ray also discussed Bobby Lashley. The WWE Hall of Famer claimed that while the All-Mighty has had an amazing career, he has been held back by being too nice. Something Bully Ray says has also negatively impacted Drew McIntyre.
“Unfortunately, I think one of the things that has held Bobby back during his career, and he’s had an amazing career, but Bobby’s not on the same level as a Brock or a Roman [Reigns],” Ray said. “The same thing that held Bobby back is the same thing that holds Drew McIntyre back at times, in my opinion. They’re genuinely too nice. They really are.”
Continuing on, Bully Ray explained that McIntyre and Lashley can never come across as the same kind of bada** as Lesnar.
“They can try to play that more aggressive, in-your-face type character, but they’re never gonna come across like a Brock Lesnar,” Ray continued. “They’re never gonna come across like that next level bada**. Don’t get me wrong, in real life, Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre, bada**es, guys that you don’t wanna meet in a dark alley because they will kick your a**.”
Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar last wrestled at the Royal Rumble where the former defeated The Beast to become WWE Champion.
