Bully Ray On What “P**sed Him Off” About Day 1 WWE Championship Match

Bully Ray

Bully Ray has revealed that he was less than impressed with a particular aspect of the WWE Championship match at Day 1.

At WWE Day 1 a new and unexpected WWE Champion was crowned. After Universal Champion Roman Reigns had to pull out of the event after testing positive for COVID-19, Brock Lesnar was left without an opponent. However, that problem was quickly solved as he was added to the already stacked WWE Championship match.

When all was said and done after a chaotic affair, Lesnar stood tall over the destruction as the new WWE Champion after pinning Big E with an F-5.

Reflecting on the match on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray revealed that he was left “p**sed off” by what he had seen. However, what annoyed the WWE Hall of Famer took place before the match even started. As the participants made their way to the ring, Big E entered fourth, despite the champion usually entering last, with Lesnar being the final man to make the walk.

Bully Ray explained that he didn’t think much of the decision, adding there was “zero reason” to do it.

“That’s something that really p**sed me off when I saw it. I understand that Brock Lesnar is the biggest star in that match; you can make an argument that Brock Lesnar is the biggest star in WWE right now. This is the man who defeated The Undertaker, ended The Streak, a five-time – up until the other night – world champion, a guy who does what he wants, when he wants… but he was not your WWE Champion. Big E was,

If we know that Brock is going to win the championship, and he’s going to have his moment, he’s going to have his beauty shot at the end of the show, why would you have Big E come out fourth? Why would you have Brock come out last? There is absolutely zero reason. ZERO,”

On the January 3rd edition of Monday Night Raw, Brock Lesnar reunited with his advocate, Paul Heyman. Lesnar told the crowd to “acknowledge him” before Heyman ran down the pros and cons of his potential challengers, while also taking a shot at Roman Reigns.

Later in the night, Bobby Lashley defeated Seth Rollins, Big E and Kevin Owens to earn a shot at Lesnar at the Royal Rumble. Lashley and The Beast have never previously met one-on-one.
