Bully Ray Would Like To See Christian Cage Join Edge’s New Faction

Christian Cage

Bully Ray has suggested that Christian Cage would be a good addition to Edge’s new stable as he is currently doing “f**k all” in AEW.

At WrestleMania 38, Damian Priest came to ringside as Edge was doing battle with AJ Styles. While Priest didn’t get directly involved in the action, his presence distracted Styles enough for Edge to pick up the win.

In the weeks that followed, the pair confirmed their alliance and have continued to feud with Styles.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray ran the rule over the new faction. The tag team legend first commented on Gangrel saying he would like to be involved with the group, before pitching a new member of his own.

The former Bubba Ray Dudley explained that he would like to see the “massively underutilised” Christian Cage make the jump to WWE to join the faction as he is doing “f**k all” in AEW.

“My exact thing that I was going to say to you when you got to the end of your point is, how would you feel about Gangrel coming back. I think that would be great for a short term. What I think would be even better is Christian [as part of Edge and Damian Priest’s faction]. Lord knows he ain’t doing f**K all in AEW right now and I would be doing a lot more with Christian. That’s just me. I think Christian is massively underutilized. Just my opinion.”

Gangrel famously appeared alongside both Edge and Christian in The Brood in the late 1990’s. Meanwhile, it was recently reported that WWE are already keen to add new members to the new group currently comprising of Damian Priest and the WWE Hall of Famer.

The report suggested that new Monday Night Recruit Tommaso Ciampa and former Raw Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley could be new additions. The speculation around Ripley increased following the most recent episode of the red brand where she turned heel, attacking her now former tag team partner Liv Morgan.
