Former WWE Superstar Buff Bagwell has dismissed reports he was recently arrested.
It was recently reported that Buff Bagwell had been arrested for driving under the influence. Cobb County Sheriff’s records show that Bagwell was arrested on July 13th before being released on July 15th. Bagwell was arrested for speeding and “Driving Under the Influence of Drugs.”
Despite this, Bagwell has claimed the reports are false. Posting on social media he claimed he wasn’t arrested and only had a “sanction” for not properly documenting a tip out of state.
“Just wanted to clarify to everyone that I am 11 months sober (tomorrow). I see there is news out that I had to spend time in jail for a DUI but this was from the original offense years ago. I did get a recent sanction because I didn’t document a recent trip out of state properly.”
What Was Buff Bagwell’s Original Offence
The offence Buff Bagwell is likely referring to in his Tweet, is an arrest back in 2021, which was in turn related to a car accident in 2020. The full list of charges included driving while under the influence of drugs and hit and run.
Since then, the former WCW star, whose real name is Marcus Bagwell, has worked closely with Diamond Dallas Page in an effort to turn his life around. In March, Bagwell cancelled a number of personal appearances to move in with DDP and get things back on track
