Buddy Matthews Seemingly Claps Back At Reports He Wants To Leave AEW

Following reports that he is looking to leave AEW, Buddy Matthews has taken to social media to dismiss the speculation.

On September 24th Buddy Matthews said that he would be taking some time away from the ring. This led to speculation that he could be set to leave AEW, especially as at the time it was believed that stablemate Malakai Black had left the company. Matthews’ comments were followed by reports that he wanted to return to WWE.

However, in a fresh post on social media the star has seemingly dismissed this speculation with a simple gif and the word “fake.”

There had also been interest rumours which claimed that Matthews had at one point been suspended by AEW, although a new report from PWInsider says that this is false. Any time that the star missed was due to visa issues and nothing more.

Fellow House of Black member Brodie King has also shot down claims that will be leaving the company.

As reports around his wrestling future intensified, Malakai Black recently took to Instagram live to try and clear the air. The Dutch star dismissed reports that he had been released by AEW, explaining that he had simply been given some time off.

Before all said and done, Black reiterated his desire to return to AEW soon, saying that it could be a couple of weeks or a couple of months.
