AEW star Bryan Danielson and former WWE broadcaster Renee Paquette are set to reunite for a very special event at the upcoming Starrcast convention.
In their previous lives as WWE personalities Danielson – as Daniel Bryan – and Paquette – as Renee Young – co-hosted the very popular Talking Smack series that aired on the WWE Network. The show began as a post-show for SmackDown in August 2016 when Bryan Danielson was still retired from the ring and acting as the General Manager for the blue brand.
The show proved a hit with fans and had perhaps no more notable moment than when The Miz unleashed a verbal volley against his perennial rival Danielson which caused The American Dragon to walk off the set.
Talking Smack came to what many fans felt was a premature end but Danielson eventually returned to the ring and Renee Paquette spent a spell at the announce desk for Monday Night Raw.
With both stars now out of WWE, Starrcast is reuniting them in July for a very special live edition of Paquette’s The Sessions podcast.

Starrcast runs over SummerSlam weekend in Nashville, Tennessee and the lineup for the convention includes Ric Flair’s final wrestling match. Inside The Ropes’ Kenny McIntosh will be part of the festivities as he sits down with Bret Hart for a special 30 Years Later panel focussing on The Hitman’s iconic SummerSlam 1992 match against The British Bulldog.
