Bryan Danielson has addressed the possibility of getting back in the ring.
After losing the AEW World Title to Jon Moxley at WrestleDream in October, Danielson retired as a full-time professional wrestler. Since then, fans have hoped to see The American Dragon return as a part-time performer.
However, when asked about a comeback in an interview with Jamal Niaz of JNMEDIAUK, Danielson admitted his neck was “wrecked.” He went on to say that it’s a case of risk versus reward, and he wants to be able to “live comfortably” with his wife and children.
“So it’s not no chance, but it’s risk versus reward at this point, right? I want to be able to live comfortably with my wife and kids.
“One of the things our society has a real problem with is realising when enough is enough, and I’m very satisfied with my career, and I think enough is enough, you know?”
Previously, Danielson gave a 50/50 chance for an in-ring return. It likely rests on his decision on whether or not to get neck surgery, something he would prefer to avoid.
Bryan Danielson Still Working With Tony Khan In AEW
Although he has not appeared on TV outside of a surprise appearance at the All In Texas ticket-on-sale party, Bryan Danielson still plays a role behind the scenes in AEW. Tony Khan recently said Danielson is “a big part of his office” and that the pair speak almost every day.
