“There’s A Magic To It” – Bryan Danielson On Why He Loves Bleeding

Bryan Danielson taunts Adam Page on AEW Dynamite 2022

Bryan Danielson has admitted his love for bleeding in pro wrestling – but only if there’s a significant number in the crowd to watch it.

‘The American Dragon’ isn’t known for drawing a crimson mask too often but when he does, it’s truly a sight to behold, as evidenced earlier this year vs. ‘Hangman’ Adam Page.

Now, Bryan Danielson has expressed his love and admiration for bleeding in a live edition of The Sessions with Renee Paquette:

“So if you were to ask me to bleed right now, in front of the people we have here, I would say, ‘No thanks, it doesn’t sound like fun.’ You get in front of a thousand people, inside the moment, inside a wrestling ring and bleeding, there is just something about it that makes you feel very alive. I don’t know what it is, there is just something to it, there is a magic to it.”

Famously, both Bryan Danielson and Adam Page drew deep faces of blood on the 5 January edition of AEW Dynamite. Although it was the latter who retained the World Championship that night, it was an outstanding visual seeing both coated in their own gore.

The former Daniel Bryan signed with All Elite Wrestling following his shock appearance at All Out last September. Danielson has since found himself in hit matches with Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega, as well as being a founding member of The Blackpool Combat Club.

Following a two-month absence due to injury – for which he missed both Forbidden Door and Blood & Guts – Bryan Danielson returned to active competition on last week’s Dynamite, losing via referee stoppage to Daniel Garcia.
