Bryan Danielson wants to compete in a Lucha de Apuesta.

In recent months, Bryan Danielson has made it clear that his time as a full-time competitor is winding down. The star has accomplished plenty in his decades-long career, becoming a Grand Slam Champion in WWE before signing with All Elite Wrestling.

The star is set to step outside AEW and compete in CMLL on March 29th, teaming with Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Matt Sydal to take on the team of Mistico, Volador Jr, Blue Panther, & Ultimo Guerrero. Wheeler Yuta was supposed to team with his fellow Blackpool Combat Club members but was pulled as he’s not medically cleared.

Danielson has made no secret of wanting to face Blue Panther, and speaking in a press conference ahead of the match, he revealed another dream goal of his. According to the Blackpool Combat Club member, he’s always wanted to compete in a Hair vs. Hair or a Hair vs. Mask match, known in lucha libre as a Lucha de Apuesta.

“Yeah, I mean, honestly, this is one of my biggest dreams in wrestling that I have yet to accomplish, is to wrestle in Arena Mexico, in a Hair vs. Hair or Hair vs. Mask match. I would love for that to be against Blue Panther, but I don’t know how much of a chance he stands at this point. So he’ll be losing his hair if we do that.”

Whose Mask Does Bryan Danielson Want To Take?

Continuing, Danielson said that he’d also love to take on Mistico in a hair vs. mask match.

“Whose mask I’d really like to take, I would love to do Mistico vs. Bryan Danielson, Hair versus Mask.”

In a new interview, Bryan Danielson explained why he was mad at a WWE match.

Recently it was reported that AEW’s plans for Bryan Danielson’s retirement storyline centres around a redemption arc.
