Take A Look Back At Seth Rollins' Final Singles Match Before Joining WWE!

AEW has posted a classic Ring of Honor match featuring Roderick Strong against then-ROH World Champion Tyler Black, who’s now better known as WWE’s Seth Rollins!

The Bound For Glory IX match, which took place all the way back in September 2010, was Black’s final Ring of Honor match to date. Additionally, it was his final singles match on the independents before he joined WWE and debuted in FCW just 10 days later.

Booker T Criticises AEW Over Recent Hour-Long Match

MJF vs. Will Ospreay on AEW Dynamite 250

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has questioned AEW’s decision to have MJF and Will Ospreay wrestle for an hour.

Speaking on the latest edition of his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T gave his thoughts on MJF vs. Will Ospreay on last week’s edition of AEW Dynamite and why he doesn’t think the match going for almost an hour was a good thing for casual fans.

“I just don’t think people are interested in watching people wrestle for an hour on television these days. I could be wrong on that… I’m not talking about the AEW fans. I’m talking about the core general audience just you know, flipping through the channels. They’re not gonna want to sit and watch two guys wrestle for an hour.

I just don’t — me personally, no vignettes. Like you say, no promos or anything, just guys in the ring wrestling overlaid by the commentary of the commentators. Me personally, that is not that entertaining to me. Was it a good match? Probably was. Was it entertaining to that core audience? It probably was.

But I’m not talking about that. I’m talking about growing the base. I’m talking about, you know, growing the audience and making this thing a whole lot bigger than just watching the show on a regular basis. So, me personally, I don’t see who wins in a situation like that.”

Hikaru Shida's Hidden Dynamite Homage To Major Gaming Franchise

Did you spot this easter egg to a major gaming franchise that Hikaru Shida hid in one of her latest AEW matches?

During last night’s edition of AEW Dynamite, the former AEW Women’s World Champion unsuccessfully faced off against Britt Baker. While the match itself was fairly standard, you may have missed Shida’s homage to the Like A Dragon (formerly Yakuza) video game franchise during it.

As pointed out by X user FawfulEric, Shida performed the Hell’s Gauntlet, a sequence of moves used as a Super Finish in Yakuza 3, on Baker midway through the match. The move both in-game and Shida’s recreation of it can be seen in the tweet below.

Over the last few months, Shida has been playing through the Like A Dragon games on her YouTube channel and cosplayed as series protagonist Ichiban Kasuga at Anime Expo 2024 in Los Angeles earlier this month.

Arn Anderson

Arn Anderson and Cody Rhodes

Almost three years after Arn Anderson’s infamous Glock promo, it seems Cody Rhodes has finally taken his advice…

Last week, it was announced that WWE’s Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley and Rey Mysterio would be coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone as part of both games’ Season 5 content drop. The reveal has led to some bizarre promotional images, including one of Rhodes aiming an assault rifle in-game.

The image in question has since attracted the attention of Rhodes’ former mentor Arn Anderson who poked fun at it in reference to his infamous 2021 AEW glock promo.

Taking to the official X account for his podcast The Arn Show, Anderson quipped that it appeared Rhodes had finally taken his advice alongside the picture.

Bryan Danielson has revealed he has been medically advised not to wrestle until AEW All In next month.

During an extended version of his AEW Dynamite interview uploaded to AEW’s YouTube channel, The American Dragon discussed why he hasn’t since winning the Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup earlier this month.

“Doc Sampson doesn’t want me to wrestle until Wembley, and that’s actually the harder part. It’s the part like, ‘What do you mean? I’m here in Nashville. Can’t I…? That sort of thing.”

The reason why is due to the state of Danielson’s neck which Sampson believes is fixable at the moment, but may not be if the former WWE Champion continues to compete consistently at his usual pace.

“My neck isn’t great [laughs]. So it’s weird because this feels like the biggest match of my career, and there’s this war going on between my mind and my body of what I feel like I can do and what my body is telling that I probably shouldn’t do.

Even when I talk to Brie and the family, it’s like, ‘Well, I want to do this,’ and she’s saying, ‘But what about your neck? What about this?’ Even talking to Doc Sampson, I’m like. ‘I gotta go hard, I gotta do this.’ He’s like, ‘Right now, your neck is fixable. You gotta make sure that it stays fixable.’

So I’m gonna go out there, I’m gonna do my best, and just try to enjoy the moment. I mean, Wembley Stadium. How awesome?”
