Bryan Danielson was involved in a bizarre incident at the May 18th AEW Rampage taping which left him limping backstage.
Following the May 18th episode of AEW Dynamite, the company held their usual taping for the upcoming episode of Rampage. This edition of Rampage will air on Friday May 20th.
On the show, Bryan Danielson teamed with Jon Moxley to take on Matt Sydal and Dante Martin, who had challenged the Blackpool Combat Club to a match on Dynamite.
After the match, Danielson and Moxley were attacked by the Jericho Appreciation Society who they are currently feuding with. During the brawl, Danielson got his leg stuck between the entrance ramp and the ring. The star was trapped for up to ten minutes, before he was eventually freed. Once back on his feet, the star limped backstage, but was believed to not be seriously injured.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez offered an update on the situation, commenting that he believed that the incident had been a “work.” He explained that Danielson is fine, and everyone laughed about the bizarre accident later on.

On the May 18th episode of Dynamite, the Jericho Appreciation Society had a face-to-face meeting with the Blackpool Combat Club, Eddie Kingston and Santana & Ortiz.
With tensions obviously running high between the two factions, things got very real, very quickly. Jericho referenced Regal’s previous battles with addiction, said that he had wasted any talent he had, while being fired from every company he had ever been a part of.
The star also blasted Danielson as boring, saying that he would soon be having “disco biscuits” shoved down his throat by Regal and joining Moxley in the alcohol treatment program.
Regal shot back in his own unique style, claiming that he had put Jericho’s toothbrush “up his bottom.”
